Rian Johnson’s Original Vision in LCD Soundsystem’s Latest Music Video28.09.2018
A pair of scientists in their twilight years building a DIY teleporter in their shed—you’d be hard-pressed to find a more interesting theme for a music video. Add to that the fact that the video, off LCD Soundsystem’s latest effort Oh Baby, was shot by Rian Johnson, the fan-favorite director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Looper, and Brick, the latter something of a cult classic.
The beautiful and moving story also features A-list Hollywood actors. The wife is played by Sissy Spacek, Stephen King’s Carrie herself and one of the most in-demand female actresses working today, with upcoming appearances in TV series, such as Homecoming and Castle Rock, and feature films, including Robert Redford’s probably final effort, The Old Man & the Gun. The husband is played by David Straithairn, renowned for his portrayal of Edward R. Murrow in Good Night and Good Luck.
